Accessibility

Malecare aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA on every patient-facing page. Goals we test against:

  • Full keyboard support — every step of the questionnaire is reachable and completable without a mouse.
  • Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements.
  • Sufficient colour contrast in both light and dark themes.
  • Semantic headings, labelled form fields, and screen-reader-friendly error messages.
  • No time limits on questionnaire steps beyond email-verification code expiry.
  • Optional plain-language "family-friendly" version of the report on request.
